Reports place the Black Sun within a "celestial" classification separate from ordinary humanity, alongside the Merovingian bloodline: both are described as "dark-side celestials," each numbering roughly fifteen thousand individuals within their dedicated lineages, distinct from the far larger organic human population.

Other reports trace the group's origin to the Abraxas, described as lower-astral beings who built the dark-side infrastructure on Earth; the Black Sun and "several related orders" are said to sit within that lineage, and the Abraxas are elsewhere identified directly as the Black Sun's founder.

A report describes the "Pindar" as the supreme seat within the Black Sun hierarchy, a title Ferdinand Marcos is said to have once held; decades later, a man named Evelyn, claiming to be Marcos's hidden son, reportedly used that claim to place himself, on paper, atop the same structure.

Internally, the Black Sun is said to have historically had three ultimate heads, known only by role rather than by name: "Mr. White" (a benign public role), "Mr. Neutral" (a mediating role), and "Mr. Black" (an enforcement role). The three roles originally represented separate covens reporting to a higher authority, tasked with maintaining planetary balance. Reports state the original titleholders died or were removed over time, replacements carried the roles forward, and when a later "Mr. White" also died, the surviving "Mr. Black" absorbed both roles under the combined title "Mr. Black and White." Three further replacement heads, along with a figure called "Mei Wa," are described as having fallen within the same overnight period.

Following the collapse of the "Mr. Black and White" leadership, reports describe a further failed attempt to install a new "Mei Wa" in London, pursued on the belief that the position still held a claim to a stock of gold that, per the reports, it had never actually owned.

Reports also describe a historical arrangement called the babysitter model, in which families and the Black Sun provided alleged security in exchange for 10 percent of economic output, said to be the origin of an internal nickname for the group, the "10 percenters." A later report places twelve individuals plus what it calls "a machine" atop the Black Sun side of this structure, described as the military-aligned faction, mirrored by a separate council of twelve on the Illuminati side.
