Chapter 3

The good word is Kami.
All is overturned now —
the upper made lower, the lower made upper —
and you cannot tell what is right.
Yet if you return to the heart of the Kami, all shall be known.
So cleanse the mirror.

The day comes when this revelation
shall become only Hifumi (the sacred numerical chant) —
Kotodama (the spirit of language).
Before that day, polish your Mitama;
for to the one whose Mitama is clouded,
not a word of it shall be readable.
Return swiftly to the heart of the Kami.

The hour shall come, and all shall appear at once.
The sea shall become land, and the land shall become sea.
