What Really Happened on 9/11

On the 25th anniversary of 9/11, the promised disclosure never came, so Kim goes back to what an operative who took part in the event told her about where the order came from.

Welcome to Declassified. This is now, I think, the second or third one. I wanted to do something a little bit special today, simply because it is the 11th of September.

I’ve done a few videos about September 11th in the past, but the last one was probably in 2020. I thought today was a good day for a special Declassified, along with a second Declassified coming out at the same time that talks more about current events.

1. The Order for 9/11 Went Out at an Illuminati Meeting the Year Before

On this September 11th, our current head of state appears to be nowhere to be found at the events going on in New York City. That’s not really a surprise. The Clintons were there, Bush Jr. was there, and a number of other high-profile government people attended.

Behind the scenes, September 11th was also the big kickoff for some worldwide meetings. The people holding them certainly do love this particular day, and that love has really nothing to do with the calendar we have now, or with the date itself.

It also just happened to be a new moon, and that new moon kicks off the Illuminati meeting that would normally occur at this time of year. This year’s meeting did kick off as per normal. But this year, the meeting was an event that occurs, I would say, once every 26,000 years.

They were really expecting something really, really special today. That didn’t really work out for them. We’ll talk more about that in my Beyond the Matrix series, because it’s really more about the matrix and the simulations and keeping those things going.

In case you missed it, the 9/11 event was actually scheduled the year before it occurred. I’ve had a number of talks with a lot of operatives about it.

It’s no surprise, then, that the meeting kicking off now is the same yearly meeting at which, the year before 9/11, the operatives got their orders to kick the event off the following year. I know that sounds terrible, but remember, all of these things are big rituals for the deep state.

Was this a surprise attack? Did it have anything to do with planes crashing into towers? No, it really didn’t. There’s a lot of chatter on the internet about trucks going in and out from underneath the towers, and several other things that allegedly were occurring in and around the event.

Some of you may have heard some of the information I’m going to give you today before. I wanted to give you my take on it, a little bit of my perspective from having spoken to some of these operatives.

If you’ve been around since the Life Force days, back in my earlier broadcasts, you probably remember an interview I may have done with a gentleman by the name of George. We called him George the Viking at the time, as the man has 10,000 last names.

The only constant about George is that at the time of the 9/11 event in 2001, he had a company together with several other operatives.

A number of people went and met George. Some of them are still with us, meaning they’re still around here at United Network, and some are not.

When they met him, George was somewhere between his mid seventies and early eighties and had some health issues. We’re not even quite sure George was wholly human. And probably for a good reason.

Today is the 25th anniversary of the Twin Towers going down, and of the hit on the Pentagon on the same day. Allegedly the attack was by Osama bin Laden and Saudi Arabian terrorists, which then kicked off a lot of other things.

There were a lot of promises of disclosure from the United States government, and it was supposed to come today, too, so I waited a little bit to do this report, to see what they were actually going to say. Was there any disclosure that came out? Absolutely not, in any way, shape or form.

I saw a few reports flying around in the media and on Twitter and whatnot that the CIA had known since 1998 that there could possibly be an Osama bin Laden attack.

This event obviously occurred in 2001. The CIA released its special report saying, we knew this could have occurred, and everybody ignored us.

Of course, because they’re so righteous, and they would have loved to prevent this attack, right? You know, that’s what we’re supposed to believe, that these people actually protect us. But in reality, well, they don’t.

2. Dick Cheney Handed Out the 9/11 Contract, but the Orders Came Through a Machine From People No One Sees

The 2020 interview with George is nowhere to be found. I actually went back and looked for it in our archives, and I could not find the video anywhere. I’m sure somebody wiped it from something at some point in time.

I think it was recorded on Zoom during the Life Force days, and it wasn’t very good quality anyway. Losing it could have been due to all of the changes since those days. We’ve learned a lot since then, and we’re still learning, as you can see.

George told me the orders and instructions for 9/11 arrived a year ahead. The instructions, information and contracts went to his company, Spectrum, probably around October of the year before, within a few days of the harvest moon (the full moon nearest the autumn equinox).

During my time in Durango, big money would normally be paid out once this special yearly meeting, the one that kicks off at the new moon, ended on the harvest moon. All of the operatives would start gathering in Durango, Colorado, and in Jackson Hole in the United States.

These were people from all over the world. This is not, you know, just an American operative thing. It is a worldwide event, and it happened regularly in Durango.

Occasionally we would also see meetings in February, when the town would just be flooded with tons of operatives still waiting for a paycheck. To my knowledge, no one really got much of anything.

A few groups over the years possibly did pay out some of that money, such as the groups we talk about called The Tables, and their respective organizations that still had some money. They held their money through what we call the Albanian Trust.

If you don’t know about the Albanian Trust, it’s also called the Universal Trust. I think I’ve mentioned it to you several times before. It is a money laundering organization in Albania.

They basically take in all of the mafia money and also the cartel money. By cartels, we’re not necessarily talking about drug dealers and things like that, although that is part of it.

The other part of the Albanian Trust is what we call political money. They take money from black-market oil sales, such as the sales going on in Iran right now, and money from other events. They launder it, and they use it to fund the political campaigns of heads of state around the world.

That ensures full control over those heads of state, should they not read the script provided to them by their respective operatives. These same operatives are also involved in Hollywood. Politics is basically Hollywood for us.

It makes us think our leaders in the world are strong and honest and really here for not only the American people, but also the British people and the Australian people and the African countries, insert name here, you know, Ugandan people and South Africa.

And wow, BRICS is so great, and all these types of things. So is it true? Absolutely not. They read scripts. That’s their job.

If they get out of line, the operatives have proof that they were funded by the mafia and the cartels, and as one example, you can see what was done within the last year to the Colombian president.

As for the heads of state in the United States taking part in the event and its orchestration, George says he took orders directly from Dick Cheney, who at the time was the vice president of the United States. George claims Dick Cheney is the one that orchestrated the event.

However, Bush Sr. was still very active as head of the American division of the Order of the Black Sun, and he was also known as Black Eagle. Depending on how you look at it, Bush Sr. was very high up in the Bavarian Illuminati, very much participating.

He would have been someone more closely tied to that yearly meeting the year before. Dick Cheney just happened to be his right-hand man at the time, and also participating in the political sector’s theater we call the United States government.

Although George’s handler, the person who gave him the contract, was Dick Cheney, that doesn’t mean Dick Cheney actually orchestrated the event. Most of these events are actually not even orchestrated by the order. It’s a machine.

This is where your matrix and your simulation come in. Orders are passed down, oftentimes through the machine, from people you don’t see in public at all.

These are not even Rothschilds or Rockefellers or names you would know. Those are way too far down the totem pole to orchestrate an event like this, or to give orders directly through the machine. We’re going to talk about that, too, a little bit more in depth, in Beyond the Matrix.

George’s company Spectrum had an office on K Street in Washington, D.C., and it’s no surprise to me that he had one there. K Street is full of offices just like George’s.

A lot of operatives frequent that street, and they are often afforded or given office space, or have it donated to them, by the operatives who are what you’d call your actual real president.

These are the ones that tell the president what to do on behalf of people much higher up in the food chain of the order. They are what you call political operatives.

As with any administration, you also have financial operatives. George’s company happened to participate in both, and in the financial sector very, very heavily, in the late 90s and early 2000s.

Tunnels run underneath all of Washington, D.C., extending all the way to the Pentagon and, as a matter of fact, under the majority of the East Coast. You could literally get from Washington, D.C. to Langley, Virginia, just like that.

Transportation there is all underground, and the operatives communicate regularly and meet in those tunnels.

A lot of you probably think those tunnels are a myth associated with JFK Jr. and JFK, but Marilyn Monroe allegedly went through those tunnels to have an affair with the then president. And that part’s true.

They also transport various prostitutes, and drugs. You may or may not know, but the Reagans, both Nancy and Ronald Reagan, were addicted to drugs. That came from one of their political operatives who was in the White House at the time, and those operatives called themselves the Reaganites.

George and his company wouldn’t have been the operatives running the White House. They would have taken orders, contracts and instructions from the people running the White House, who in turn took orders from the machine and from other folks that are part of the simulation.

3. The Twin Towers Were Rigged to Implode and Stood on Land Outside U.S. Law

George got the contract a year before, and everyone involved knew this event was going to happen. The towers themselves were rigged, and a lot of large buildings are rigged in the 24 largest cities, ranked by population and in part by size. It’s done for a reason.

For example, this year’s towers in Chicago are rigged. Several of the towers in New York are rigged, several in Boston and San Francisco, and in other parts of the world, such as Tokyo, Japan, Moscow, Russia, and many towers in Beijing and Hong Kong.

London has many. Most of Canary Wharf is rigged. Anytime they build these large buildings, they actually rig them to implode, the United Nations building in New York being one of them, and also the World Health Organization building in Geneva.

These are just examples, not all of the cities that are rigged.

Why do they do this? These are places that draw a very large focus. Because we all focus on these particular places, when something happens in one of these major cities, it usually involves a lot of people and a lot of deaths.

Deaths are rituals. The ritual forms a connection, and it opens up things that naturally occur, not naturally in any way, I shouldn’t say that, things that actually occur within the simulation.

That normally gives people more power, and those people would be the deep state we see walking around here. And the connection remained open for quite some time in this area.

Another area of New York that had a very strong connection would be Ellis Island. You may or may not know this, but a lot of people never made it through Ellis Island, or everybody got a new name. Remember that?

A lot of people coming to America actually went down inside the matrix and into underground bases there in New York, and up came someone else. This is part of a recycling program: someone else comes up that is not natural.

Although I never met George in person myself, I do question whether George was one of those folks who entered the planet, maybe before the 9/11 event.

Underground facilities run beneath most of the state of New York, extending all the way to Albany. You have heard about the Montauk Project all over the internet, I’m sure, but Montauk is not the only area of New York.

Pretty much underneath all of Manhattan are a lot of facilities and a huge operation center, focused not only on finance but also on power and control.

Even though the actual Federal Reserve main hub is in Washington, D.C., the Federal Reserve in New York is the one everybody recognizes as the hub.

Washington, D.C. is technically not U.S. soil. The same goes for anywhere they put a Federal Reserve building or a central bank: that land is the property of the Federal Reserve in New York. The World Trade Centers are no exception here.

The World Trade Centers are on their own sovereign land, even the new ones built after the event, as is the little plot of land that is now a memorial to the original Twin Towers. Being sovereign land, they are not governed by the United States government in any way.

They actually become what’s called, to some degree, unceded land, and there are other areas of the United States that are considered unceded land.

Unceded means that back in the days of the American Indians, there was perhaps a lease on the land to the then government or the colonies, depending on how long ago it was done.

Or, quite frankly, the land was never actually signed over, and there was never an agreement, an officially lodged deed, turning the land over despite many wars.

I actually happen to live in an area of New Hampshire that is on unceded land. I wonder why I chose to live here.

Areas not too far from here, in Concord, where they built a new facility (try to keep track of me), are not on unceded land. Quite a little zippy and exciting twist for those of you living in America and wondering what that means.

There is unceded land all over the world. It is not just something for American Indians; it’s land that was never officially turned over. In the case of the deep state, they hold land like this in little plots, like Washington, D.C., Tokyo and London, where the rules are theirs, allegedly.

Even though there are people just like us who live there, things aren’t run by the same rules, and government is not allowed to interfere with affairs in particular areas like this, such as the World Trade Center.

The World Bank is also on that type of land, and the Bank for International Settlements as well. A lot of Bern, Switzerland is also in, let’s call it alien territory, because it kind of is.

4. The White House Knew Days Ahead and Connected Firms Kept Their Staff Home

The World Trade Center towers were a big target, and you can see why. Number one, they were large towers, and lots of people go to work in there. And lots of people actually received a call the day before the event, telling them not to go to work.

George W. Bush and Mr. Cheney, in the Office of the President of the United States at the time, knew the event was ready to go days before it happened. They had been preparing for a year. The ability to detonate a building was there at that time.

And remember, in a simulation, a lot of things are possible. No surprise, then, that this could be done remotely from literally anywhere.

Did they need to start the war on terror, and the crazy things that came with hunting Osama bin Laden, and all of the other things they orchestrate, because now they need to save us from the boogeyman? Create the problem, be the solution. That is the case here as well.

The White House got a call a few days before. Everybody was prepared and ready to do their part in the movie known as 9/11.

Now, by movie, please don’t take this the wrong way. A lot of people actually died, and some are still dying, from this event. By movie, I mean it didn’t occur the way that you think it did.

Another call came through the night before, to ensure readiness. These calls all came into the White House from K Street operative land, as it’s now known in Washington, D.C. George, the operative, also got a call, telling him to be prepared to do his part as well.

The doomsday plane, the airborne command post a president boards in an emergency, allegedly flew with George W. Bush on it for three days. He didn’t show up at the site for a few days, and there was a lot of controversy about that, but he was never supposed to.

Why? Well, first of all, the Bush family is known to be a part of the people orchestrating this stuff now, aren’t they? Although Bush Jr. and Sr. were both presidents of the United States, they also held other positions, as does our current administration.

To be fair, this is not a Republican thing. Obama is part of this, the Clintons were part of it. We really don’t have a head of state in any country anywhere, even at this stage in the game or in the past, that is not a part of this.

They all got the call. They were all prepared. Places. The military is involved. Everybody knew this was going to happen on this day.

Did the military come in and save us? Did anybody bother to stop the event that killed 3,500 people? I think it was 3,500 to 3,800 people on the day.

It killed thousands and thousands more over time, due to the caustic emissions that came from the buildings themselves. A lot of people who were close by during the event died of cancer, or became very ill with cancer and autoimmune diseases.

Remember all that chatter about trucks going in and out from underneath the towers? Did anybody need to use a truck to move the tons of gold that allegedly were underneath the World Trade Center? The answer to the question is no.

If they were going to move gold, they wouldn’t have done it at night in a truck in any way, shape or form. They were moving people in and out, for sure. Operatives.

If they were going to move files of any consequence, those would have been moved into an underground facility. Buildings like 33 Thomas Street, a windowless telephone building in Lower Manhattan where a lot of bad things happen, connect to it.

The current NSA headquarters in New York, known as the New World Trade Center, is also connected to that underground facility.

Were they moving documents or something important by truck? No, no. Were they moving people in and out of there? Were they moving movie equipment in and out of there? Yeah, probably. Absolutely.

Was the United States military moving explosives, caustic chemicals and other things of this nature in and out of there? Yes. Langley is involved, operatives from K Street, operatives from the White House.

Everybody was involved in this big movie event, moving lots of stuff in and out of the towers to ensure the movie looks great. Terrible.

Was Osama bin Laden responsible for this event? No. No. Osama bin Laden was good friends with the Bush family. He was also part of the order, he was doing his part, and for that he was paid very handsomely.

He was able to set up a lot of places. And where is Osama bin Laden? Probably in a CIA safe house somewhere. Technically, he’s not on the run from the U.S. government, and never was at all.

Then there is his part in taking the fall, and the people with Saudi Arabian passports who just happened to be on a plane that never actually crashed. Well, we’ll get into that in a minute.

The event occurred very early in the morning. The president had already been moved, and a plane was supposed to take off at a certain time, through underground tunnels, by the way.

Pretty much the day before, people were told specifically not to go to work that day. I do have some audio from a good friend of mine who was actually there in New York at the event.

If you were lucky enough to get that call, which my friend was, you did not go in to work, or to meetings, in the vicinity of the World Trade Center towers on that day.

It meant you were with a firm associated with the United States government in some way, through Langley or operatives, and you were told not to go. Many people did go to work on that day. Most of the time, the order considers certain people, mostly us regular people, disposable.

Is there a surprise? Am I surprised in any way, shape or form that my friend got the call? Well, she was working with a PR firm and a startup tech company at the time.

Am I wondering who that tech company was? She’s told me it was not a top-tier company, and not a name you would know like IBM, but fairly substantial, and a player in launching some new technology she happened to be involved in. She is a tech person.

5. The 9/11 Planes Landed Safely in Pennsylvania and Their Passengers Were Taken to an Underground Base

So the planes. What happened to the planes, if the towers were imploded? It’s very clear from all the footage out there that this was an implosion, not an explosion, and not an incident where a plane ran into a large building.

I did go to school for architecture, and I took a lot of engineering classes at that time. I absolutely can tell you how those buildings are constructed, and what would have happened on impact with a large plane moving at X miles per hour. None of what occurred would have actually happened.

There were also separate blasts that were very evident on that day, and they weren’t caused by the first or second plane.

Was Osama bin Laden involved in the terrorist attack on the United States? A little bit, from the standpoint of: you’re going to be the fall guy, and you’ll be paid very well.

In the same way, a Lebanese president was paid $100 million in cash over bombings a decade or so before, to make sure everything went well.

Osama bin Laden was also paid a large sum of money. Plus, a lot of oil and other things were being negotiated with the Bush family at the time. You also have things like Aramco, which exists now as an oil-laundering operation in Saudi Arabia, and has existed for quite some time as well.

The planes all departed and landed safely in a very remote area of Pennsylvania. This is a fact. Not only did George tell us all that at the time, but I have had other proof that this actually occurred, in November of 2020 and in some of my research.

There is a facility underneath that area, not too far from Scranton, Pennsylvania. Tom Melville drove through there and had a very uncomfortable meeting, which we showed footage of in a previous GIA report, and the people at that facility wanted him to come back to Scranton at that time.

That facility does a lot of human experimentation. It is a deep underground military base, and a lot of people live there.

Unfortunately, a lot of the people who allegedly died in a plane crash ended up underground there. They either served those who lived in the facilities, meaning they worked there, or they were the ones experimented on.

If you were a chef, as an example, you might have been a slave in that facility for a long time.

I’m sorry if that is a trigger for some people who knew people that died on that day. A lot of them lived in some pretty rough conditions underground.

Is there anyone still alive underneath there? No, mostly not. Would you recognize them mentally, emotionally or physically if you did see them back in 2020? No, you wouldn’t. Quite frankly, with the amount of experimentation, they wouldn’t recognize you either, unfortunately.

They lived their lives in these facilities in Pennsylvania, which go all the way to Georgetown, and some of them even extend to Tallahassee, Florida.

A lot of people go missing every year. A lot of kids go missing. These facilities are among the places where a lot of them end up, and have been in the past. And it’s very sad what they do to us.

That is where the planes ended up: in a place in Pennsylvania.

6. Operatives Were Paid $50,000 per Death in an Attack Built to Rally the Military

As for the hit on the Pentagon, it wasn’t about trying to get documents, or to see who actually worked there. Were there spies from a foreign country in there, or Osama bin Laden haters getting too close to the target? All that is baloney, man. Baloney.

They needed to make America look the way it looked that day, so that we would fight back. They were targeting the sympathies of our veterans, and of those currently in the military. This is the purpose behind this exercise.

Military folks are trained to fight for their country: God and country, and then family. They hit the Pentagon, and it’s: we must, we can’t look weak, we must fight back.

That rallied a lot of people to start joining the military, and we were willing to accept a lot of other things that occurred.

There are movies about this time and what life was like for military folk overseas. They witnessed a lot of things and saw a lot of things, and a lot of them, our friends and family, didn’t come back quite the same way they were when they left.

They were led around looking for weapons of mass destruction and all kinds of things, and that really didn’t pan out.

The Bush family, however, acquired a lot of oil and gas and made a lot of deals at that time. That wouldn’t have involved George W. Bush, Junior, per se; it would have more involved Cheney. Cheney pretty much ran the White House, and Junior nodded nicely.

Junior is the black sheep of the family. He was supposed to follow in the footsteps of Prescott Bush and then Bush Sr. in the order. However, he’s kind of off to the side. He’s sort of that kid that didn’t quite make the cut.

He never really achieved any greatness in the order, though he participated. Cheney was actually sent there by Senior to ensure things went well during that administration. You could call Cheney the handler for Junior during the time of this event.

Imploded towers, planes landed in Pennsylvania, people went elsewhere. As part of the implosion, a lot of caustic chemicals were also released on that day, not just asbestos from an old building or other things emitted during an implosion.

A lot of radiation was emitted from those towers, used along with a lot of the things they are known to do to people to cause disease. That is why a number of people who were present near the event have also passed away. That was a very real thing.

In Part 3 of Beyond the Matrix (August 22, 2026), I talked about control rooms, and how these things are orchestrated and can be orchestrated from anywhere.

The detonation button didn’t have to be in New York. It didn’t have to be at the White House. It didn’t have to be under New York, or under Washington, D.C. or Scranton, Pennsylvania. It could have been in Pine Gap in Australia, the joint US-Australian surveillance base.

It doesn’t matter. They’re all the same people.

It’s not that all the people who work in the special control rooms at Pine Gap, in virtual reality rooms, are basically destroying our world and causing earthquakes from those rooms.

We are in a simulation, and they can change world events. They can change your body from the inside out in a simulated world.

Were chemicals used? Yes. Smells had to be present. There were things that needed to occur to make people feel like they had inhaled something bad.

And did they? Yes. But just to ensure it, there was extra backup coming from one of these virtual reality rooms, so that a lot of people there were infected as well.

The more kills for the people orchestrating it, the better. As far as the operatives are concerned, the more kills, the better for them too. In an event like this, for every person that is murdered, because these are murders, there is a $50,000 fee paid to those involved.

Sometimes that fee is split, depending on how many contractors are involved. However, it’s $50,000 a head. That’s a lot of money paid out to a lot of contractors, plus bonuses for orchestrating the event and ensuring everything went well, at least above ground.

Under the ground, a lot of people in virtual reality rooms were making sure there was fear and terror, and all of these things were occurring at the same time.

Pretty much all of the 9/11 analysis out there, you could mostly say, is wrong. This happens a lot, and I can’t wait until that part is over.

7. A Witness in Manhattan Says Her 9/11 Meeting Was Canceled Because the Firm Had Been Warned

Knowing about this stuff and watching it happen, you know, are two different things. When 9/11 occurred, I was holding my then three-week-old child in my hands in Arizona, and a friend called me on the phone at 6:30 in the morning and said, did you hear what happened?

I was on maternity leave. And it certainly is devastating. It really is. I’m very much looking forward to the day that we don’t have the people who do these things.

My friend Dawn, who got a call that morning saying the office she was due to meet at would be closed, is a very resourceful person. She’s been on and off this planet many, many times.

She immediately went into survival mode, because it’s not the first time she’s had to be in a position like this in her life. She spent a lot of time in Hong Kong, Switzerland and Germany, mainly for tech jobs she was hired for.

She has described the event before, at least privately between the two of us, but just hearing her voice describing it was, you know, quite disturbing.

I think about people’s reactions when something like this happens to them, and I have to wonder how many people were not as prepared as Dawn was that day. There was also someone else with her, as she describes.

Luckily for my friend, who is still alive and well, she did get that call. If she had been in that vicinity, where she would have been that day, I am pretty sure she wouldn’t be here with us.

I’m going to close out this Declassified report with the audio recording I asked her to do, just so you can get her perspective on what happened that day. So on that note, here is my friend, Dawn.

Hi, my name is Dawn. I was in New York City, in Manhattan, for the 9/11 event. I had meetings scheduled all that week with one of my clients, a startup media company.

We had met for several hours and were scheduled to meet again in the morning at 9 a.m. at the PR firm. You could see the Twin Towers from their conference room window, so I had been looking at the skyline the day before.

The morning of the 11th, we got a call that the office would be closed and no one would be there. I didn’t know what to think of it. There wasn’t really an explanation.

I got a second call around 8:30, quarter to nine, to turn on the news. I was staying at a hotel in Manhattan, a few miles from where the towers were.

When I turned on the television, I didn’t know what I was seeing. It looked like a movie, so my initial reaction was that I didn’t understand what was happening.

Once I understood what was happening, full-blown survival mode kicked in, and I made a plan. I was traveling with the wife of one of the startup’s partners, and she was not an experienced traveler. I got her and told her to leave everything.

We left all our luggage, everything, in the room and got a backpack. My initial thought was to head to Central Park, where there are no buildings that could fall. We trekked down, stopped at a bodega, and got drinks and as many power bars as we thought would last us for who knows how long.

On the way to Central Park, I stopped at a drugstore to get a shortwave radio, not knowing what communications would be available at the time.

While we were in the store, fighter jets started flying down Fifth Avenue in between the buildings, and everyone was hiding behind shelves, not knowing what to do.

They told us we had to get out because they were closing the store. We poured out, and there we were in the street with the jets flying down the avenue, and people were screaming and crying.

We just continued, hugging the sides of the buildings, not knowing if there would be more attacks, if debris would be falling, if people would be jumping.

We made it to Central Park. The people in the park were oblivious. They were jogging and picnicking. If you hadn’t seen the news, you would not have known, because social media was not as widespread as it is now.

We were very shaken up. We found a spot in the park and turned on the shortwave radio, because that was the way to get the information, and we were there several hours, waiting to understand what was really going on.

Then I heard over the shortwave radio that Grand Central Station would have all trains going out of the city free, just to get people off the island. We headed back to Grand Central Station, did not go to our hotel because our room was on a high floor, and got on a train going north.

Our colleague who had called and canceled the meeting, the owner of the PR firm, with some 50 employees, lived north of the city, upstate. That’s the train I chose for us.

People were cramming onto the train we were getting on. A couple was trying to get their baby stroller on, but there were so many people that the door closed on one of the parents. Luckily, the baby was left with the other parent, on the floor of the train. And the train pulled out.

There were so many stories. People were so upset.

Once we got north, which was very nerve-wracking, we got a hotel, and the next morning we went to the home of the owner of the PR firm. They explained to us that they had gotten a call. They couldn’t name names, but they had been told not to go into Manhattan and not to go to work that day.

They were told not to be in their offices, and to alert all of their employees that it wouldn’t be safe, and they obviously included us, because we had meetings with them.

So I know from personal experience that it was a planned event, and there were communities of people that were warned.
