Exactly one year before the Ozarks seal is removed, the Emerald Order Covenant (a sub-covenant of the Ultimate Oath) expires early as a natural progression of the ongoing cleanup work. The Black Sun and Order of the Black Sun subsequently attempt to appoint a successor from within her bloodline, unaware that the 99-year Anti-Source master lease had already expired roughly one year earlier, making any new appointment legally void.
